Not knowing much about this film - other than its description on the cover - I was wondering if anyone familliar with the story of the Light Brigade knew how accurate its portrayal is in this film.
Also, does anyone know what some of the features are like on the DVD?

Wondered the same myself, and judging from the reviews on Amazon.co.uk there seem to be two problems with the UK DVD release.
One is that the BFI release is actually the Criterion US print, which is shorter than the UK release by some way.
The other is that the extras are rubbish, just a poor documentary.
Have a look yourself and see what they say.
I've seen the film a number of times on TV, it's worth watching but I don't know anything about different versions (I wouldn't if all I've seen is the same UK version each time) and I don't think I have it on VHS.

Bought it and there's not really much of note there. Read the Cecil Woodham-Smith book that the movie was based on instead.
