I think this theme song is one of the best ever. I just love it.

I agree 100% For me it rates up there with "The Pink Panther Theme" as Music that can get me out of the Dumps just by hearing it.

By the great Neal Hefti! Whom I never have heard about before or since. But, what a great theme!

The original movie theme had lyrics to the song, but for some reason they were dropped at the last second and the instrumental version of the song for the film and TV series was used instead. The lyrics were composed by the guy who composed them songs from "Call Me Irresponsible", "High Hopes", and many more.
Here is how the movie theme goes:
'No matter where they go, they are known as the cou-ple.'
'They're never seen alone, so they're known as the cou-ple.'
'As I've indicated, they are never quite separated.'
'They are peas in a pod, but don't you think that's odd?'
'Their habits I confess, none can guess with the cou-ple.'
'If one says no it's yes, more or less with the cou-ple.'
'But they're laugh-provoking, yet they don't really know they're joking.'
'Don't you find when love is blind, it's kind of odd!'
            (REFRAIN)
            'Don't you think it's odd?'
            'Don't you think it's odd?'
            'Don't you think it's odd?'

It was this theme that started me collecting all TV themes on tape when I was a kid.

No, it is one of the worst and most boring.
Just repeats over and over and over again and way too simplistic with no layers to it.
