Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Rosemary's Baby

The movie is a visual masterpiece, the acting was superb and the music was haunting. I will admit that I'm not really a fan of 60's horror, but this movie took me by surprise I actually can't stop watching it.
So, that being said I can't help but wonder what happens next?
    Do they stay married?
I would certainly think that she would leave him.
Does she stay and take care of the baby? If she doesn't,now that she knows what's going on is it a death sentence?
Does guy also know yo much? Will they end his life? Or is he allowed to move to California?
Does anyone like to think that the Childs name is really Damien?

I watched it last night. I really wanted to see what the baby looked like but I guess it adds to the mysterious of the movie. A lot of unanswered questions even though the questions might not be that important. Thats what I do like about movies like this, it still leaves you wanting more.

Read both books (Rosemary's Baby and Son of Rosemary) and your questions will be answered.

spoilers for the TV movie sequel to the film, which is called "Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby"*
Its nothing at all like Ira Levin's very bizarre, rather poor sequel to the fabulous original novel.but it does answer your questions!
Q: So, that being said I can't help but wonder what happens next?
          Do they stay married?
I would certainly think that she would leave him.
A: Rosemary & Guy get divorced.
Q.Does she stay and take care of the baby? If she doesn't,now that she knows what's going on is it a death sentence?
A: Yes she does. The sequel indicates that Rosemary is still with her son AND the coven (she named him Andrew, the coven insists he is Adrian). She stayed because she loved her baby but also to try to counteract his evil side.
She tries to run away with her son when he is 6 years old.
          Q. Does guy also know yo much? Will they end his life? Or is he allowed to move to California?
Guy has a fairly popular career now, and it appears he knows to keep his mouth VERY shut.
Q.Does anyone like to think that the Childs name is really Damien?
          lol
The film is extremely low budget, but it does feature a young Stephen McHattie as 20~something year old Andrew/Adrian.
There is also a unique twist near the end of the film.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
          Didn't he discover America?
          Penfold, shush.

Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby isn't what I'd use to answer those question. The second book, Son of Rosemary is a better source.
