So the dog days of summer. July the 3rd to August the 11th. 40 days considered to be the most oooppressive… at least in the Mid-West. I don't know, is it-is it like that elsewhere? Does the west coast have the dog days of summer? I assume the east coast does. But the South they call it the dog days of summer? I don't know. People from around those parts lemme know. They call it that? But around where I, ah, grew up and now live the dog days of summer, oppressive summer temperatures, hhhhhot, hhot, hot, high humidity. Heat index: didn't really have that one when I was a kid. Heat index, the real feel when the says 87 and the real feel says 93, and you're like, "What the ****!" awesome. Also movies. Movies set… during the dog days of summer, and they're never like mentioned as the dog days of summer, but you can tell. You can tell, like, the way way back, that's, you know, that's getting into that July coming into August, almost the end of the summer vacation. That's my favorite ****ing time. Looove that ****. And I, I just wanted to know does everybody else love it? I kind of doubt it, but… I don't know. It-one thing I really like, OK, so there's the outdoors, I love the smells, I like all the, the noises and the long daylight, but… the other thing I really really dig about it is it really makes me appreciate my air conditioning. Cuz there's nothing better than, like, workin really really hard on a really reaaaaaly hot day, comin' in and feeling that air conditioning [orgasm] That's ****ing heaven. [sniffs] Love that ****. and we have approximately 7 days of Summer when everyone gets sunburned and complains that it's too hot. Summer was last week as it happens and it's now rained on and off for a week. I'm not even joking!

I don't know why but I think "summer was last week" sounds so funny. So does it get really hot? Like a hundred degrees hot? Or is it more like 85 and high humidity and everybody bitches. I kinda agree with you. I do like these… nasty days, because, uhh, you know you havt, it takes time to adjust to get to that point where you're OK with it. Uh, but, you know, once you hit that adjustment period, once yer body adjusts to it it's actually kind of nice. And actually you lose a lot of weight too. Umm, back in 2011, uh, I'm in north Texas, so, umm, weeee had 65 consecutive days over 100 degrees, which is, I believe that's our record. Annnd it was hot as **** and I wasss working as a leasing agent so I was out showing apartments and stuff and I lost a ton of weight. Umm, you know, I-I went-I went down to like 175 which is pretty low for me. And, uh, I love that, I love that part. You know, losing all the weight. I was like, "Hell yeah! I like this." So right now I'm tryin' to get out there and do some more physical activity and try to get that weight loss again, cuz, e-even though it sucks, and yer-you hate it, ya-you-you love it at the same time. It's like, "Damn! It's hot!" It's ****ing hot, but damn, get out there, cuz, you know, that-your body it becomes stronger. It gets tougher, you know, the more you expose it to different things it gets, it's just, er, you know, we a-we adapt, you know, as humans, we really, really, really good at adapting. Uhh, we can sweat, you know, I mean, some animals can't even sweat. So we have advantages, but, umm. Yeah, I like it. Uh, I've, I've. Luckily I've put some new freon in my car, cuz I was out of freon. I mean, uh, refrigerant. So I did that myself for the first time ever. It was pretty easy. But uh, you got cold AC. But, yeah. I like it.

I think my love for the dog days of summer, I don't recall, I mean, I liked it when I was a kid, but when I reeeeeeeelllly got into it was probably around… … … when I was 16 or so. You know, kids are always off, so there's always an adventure to be found. And usually a kids adventure leads you to some…[si

Oh man! This is a greeeat dog days of summer movie. Fuckin', umm, oh ****! I for-done forgot the ****in' name of it. [inhales] Hold on. Oh my god! How have I forgotten the name of this. Was it Stand by Me? Was Stand by Me the one where the kids went out? Oh Jesus Christ. My memory is going to ****. [inhales] That was Stand by Me, right? Steven King, uh, short story about going ta find a kid on the, dead on the railroad tracks. That's-that is a fantastic, and that's what I'm gettin' at. Late summer, hot, they're on an adventure, but the 'venture kinda has a spooky undertone. [clears throat] I'm not necessarily sayin' it has to be like… blend gore/horror oriented. Doesn't hafta be that way. But… there's a bit of a dark aside to it. And, eh, for some reason, I don't know, that-that seems to be real prevalent in my love… for the dog days of summer. So.

And the weight loss. I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna-I'll finish this up. It's almost four minutes. That's way too long. But, uh, this summer I've taken it upon myself to… [cough] donate my time charitably to a, uh… well it's a pet cemetery. I'm [sniffs] probly gonna get doxxed on that, but, yeah. It's a pet cemetery annnnnd [cough] I don't know. I've been workin' there day and night. [sniffs] Umm, and-and when I say work, it's not like a job, I just, I found the place and said this place needed fixin' up. [cough] So I've been fixin' it up, and yeah, I've dropped like… almost 40 pounds this summer? And I mean, really the summer's not quite over with. I've still got good heat left and weeks and weeks and weeks of work to do. [hacking] But as you can… tell, chain sawing for some odd reason [sniffs] sawdust from chain sawing is rrrrreeaaaly realy offensive to my bronchial system. So. You get these outrageous sounding coughs. It clears up by midday, it's just. I guess I'm still getting rid of the garbage that I breathed in. Or, yeah. Breathed-breathed dust from that.
