Did anyone else think that this was the most literal and REALISTIC translation of what an actual dream looks like?
To me this really looks like you filmed someone's dream right out of their head. There is one part where the guy on the yacht who looks like the captain is answering Rosemary and as he's speaking his words are fading out .. This EXACT thing happens in real dreams but it's never mentioned in movie "dream sequences". I also love the Hutch "typhoon" bit!
Everything was random yet made some kind of sense. Your subconscious has a vague reasoning process some of the parts are there- some are missing and some have been distorted . Like a big puzzle that hasn't quite been put together correctly..Amazing.
I think only David Lynch and Kubrick have concocted similar concise "dreams" in their films..

I agree!
I don't know if a lot of people who didn't read the novel new that it was President Kennedy on the yacht and Jackie Kennedy asking Rosemary about her "mouse bite". Really awesome dream sequence.
David Lynch is the closest to getting the weirdness of dreams on film. Cooper's dream in Twin Peaks was scary and brilliant.
