I don't know if it's good or bad, because I don't get it. I haven't lost 2 hours of my life watching this movie, but I want to understand it! I've never watched no movie by Pasolini before that.

It is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. In less than half-an-hour, the maid, the son, the father, the mother and the daughter had slept with the boy!!! I dont know why they left out the dog. awful film.

Hello,
The lack of content is probably also due to the "Anything goes" attitude of the generation 69. This was her typical weakness, although otherwise she deserves praise for her fight for civil rights and peace. This same attitude can be see for instance in "Strawberry Statement". The resistance against authority derailed into lack of principles and common sense. -

I consider this movie a masterpiece, and I've seen it many times.
I went to UCLA film school so maybe I'm just a film buff, but I love this movie.
Many Pasolini films are difficult to understand, but this one is not. Recommended to anyone over 16 years of age, which appears to be the average age of those that post on IMDB. -

I've seen about 8 Pasolini films at this stage, and this was BY FAR the most difficult to understand. If you are going to say that this one is not, all I can deduce is that you CLEARLY did not understand ANY of his films, let alone this one.

There's always some dummy who will post a "worst movie ever" or similar post simply because he or she doesn't get the significance of a particular film within its particular cultural/social/time context, or somehow stumbled upon this movie after a lifetime of watching spoon-feeding mainstream Hollywood films. Either way, they are not the intended audience, and the fact that they don't "get it" means nothing to the rest of us.
