Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The House That Screamed

    ibreakdishes — 17 years ago(April 18, 2008 02:38 AM)

Long ago I went in search of a - oh, I think it was an "Effex" magazine or something, because it had a review of "Trilogy of Terror," or so I had heard.
I went to Borders (this was some 4 or 5 years ago) and as I was flipping through, THERE was a big B & W picture of "The Gellzz" saying their prayers, and other photos from the film, and an interview with one Walter (or Waldo?) de los Rios (who I THOUGHT directed the film, but the database says otherwise).
I liked THAT far better than the "Trilogy" piece and was SO delighted to have stumbled upon it. All I remember is that it had a rendering of Rod Serling on it (I don't normally buy magazines at all, this is why I can't remember it, and, of course I can't find it now!).
It discussed ALL the weird things it had to go through, how some of the actors were French, some Italian, and some English and American, and Lilli, of course, spoke English, and had to act and react to ALL of them.
It might have even said where the House is, and what interiors were used and in what other films those interiors appeared in - that distinctive tiled floor on the first floor is very recognizable, and I have seen it SOMEWHERE
The article also revealed the odd release-dates and why it went to what country and when, etc.
And, on an off note (but related) MY MOM remembers READING THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL.
    !!!
Has ANYONE read the Juan Tobar book???
