What's so funny about it?

Give a few examples of comedy films or tv shows you liked. It would be easier to point you in the right direction if we know what you
do
find funny, since the comedy genre is quite broad. There should be
something
that suits you. -

Damn… clip and prank shows aren't really my forte. Looks like I can't really recommend anything you'd find that funny. The only other prank shows I can think of are the ones in which people try to scare their friends (there are a few of those), and maybe stuff like
Impractical Jokers
or
Kenny vs Spenny

It might be generational, and it might be related to what country you're from or if you're familiar with what events are being portrayed or discussed.
This is a show that successfully combined drama, humour, bloodshed and the atrocities of war, breakdowns, relationships, death….to pull all of those together well is tough, and they did it for many, many years.
It's a brilliant show.

If you don't think it's funny, then nobody can explain it to you. Humor is very subjective.
PS I think the TV Show was funny, but the MOVIE was HILARIOUS!

I've always found it annoying as hell and rarely funny. Though set in Korea, it was obviously supposed to be an anti-war statement against the U.S. invasion of Vietnam.
But of course the liberals are portrayed as snarky heroes, and the conservatives are portrayed as bumbling fascists. It was purely and simply liberal anti-war propaganda and it took itself too seriously to be funny.

Yes, it could be entertaining. But I just had a visceral dislike for Alan Alda's wiseass character. Like I said, it took itself too seriously.
