I wonder with Archie going straight to the hospital, obviously, he never did the job, did that mean Frank Edwards was able to get the job?

While Archie was recovering from his operation, he found out he was rehired at the plant. Frank Edwards, I'm sure, was under psychiatric care and wouldn't have been able to work.

I guess you're right. Perhaps Little Emanuel got the job. That would have been funny if he was at the unemployment agency standing next to Archie when he wanted to borrow a pencil.

Little Emmanuel's unemployment would've run out years before. Archie gave him the can in season two. Quite possibly he was working at a car wash or running dope.

Teresa had the room before Stephanie. If Archie really wanted a den, then why didn't he just make the attic into one? It seemed to be big enough for one even though it was never shown

The attic must've been tiny with a low ceiling, only room for a cot, otherwise he might've had a den up there whether the Stivics lived there or not.
