We were not asked.
We forced our way in there and invaded under a lie, dummy.
The Viet Cong rightfully defended themselves and got the victory they deserved by beating us.

The Vietnamese casualties were far greater than US. There was nothing for the US to win though, except bully their military might in a MIC laundering scheme. Not to mention the opium trade.
Domestic pressure in the US and Nixon losing face is what created the withdrawal of US troops, not being beaten.

Checking out your website I just read your review of The Truman Show and disagree.
I think Carrey does drama just fine and is an underrated drama actor because his number one movies or what he is most known for is being the goofball with the rubber face.
Maybe that’s because we first knew him in our living rooms from In Living Color?
I like how it shows him at first thinking it’s all real then slowly realizing it isn’t without letting us know that or in obvious ways.
He has to keep it a secret since he figures something is going on and is being watched.
And notice how sly they try things on him such as introducing him to a new attractive “co worker” who just happens to be the same age and a girl at his job.
Perhaps my favorite moment doesn’t have to do with Carey but with Harris.
Late at night the boss director isn’t there and staff feel like they can relax.
One being bored is on an exercise bike while the assistant is letting a grunt change the camera angles while they munch on late night pizza.
Then the boss comes in, the staff member gets off the bike and the assistant sheepishly explains what he is doing while the grunt slithers away.
A great capture of human nature as the movie is.
I am interested in Ed TV and will check it out.

She's actually not bad though. If you wanna see a bad actress, then watch a movie with Tara Reid, Paris Hilton, hell even the Olsens!
