For this, and her performances in
They Shoot Horses, Don't They?
(1969),
Julia
(1977), and
The China Syndrome
(1979), she deserves her reputation as the greatest American film actress of the 1970s. Superlative work. -

This is my favorite Jane Fonda role ever, and she deserved the Oscar. No matter what you think of her politics, she was spectacular in this film.

MADNESS! Have never seen such a tacky misguided portrayl of anything so bad in any other film, ever. AWFUL. CRINGEY. TERRIBLE. If i have to hear one more of her fvcking weird unsexy tapes again, I'll diw.

I concur. Jane Fonda was flat-out terrific as Bree Daniels. I loved the complex and intriguing blend of toughness and vulnerability that she projected in that role.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
