I just voted. It certainly deserves a DVD release. The factory-sealed VHS copy that I bought a few years back has poor picture quality (even for a tape).

I love this movie so much I rented the VHS from the public library, then paid $30 to get it transfered to DVD by a guy I know. It plays great now, but I would much rather have an official DVD!!!

It's being released in September (in America) along with Anne of the Thousand Days. A great double-bill!

                    According to a web site:
                    June 16, 2007
MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS - DVD to have isolated music track!
We understand the forthcoming DVD release of Mary, Queen of Scots (see our our DVD page) will include an isolated music track.
During the parts of the film without music, film music writer Jon Burlingame will host a discussion with as yet unknown members of the crew. He has done this successfully on the recent releases of the Sand Pebbles and Von Ryan's Express, which also have isolated music tracks.

Is there any mention of the DVD coming out in Region Two format? I already have Anne of the Thousand Days on DVD so I just wanted this film separately! Im surprised this wasnt released years ago.

This title is available on dvd. It was released on Sept. 18, 2007 and includes "Anne of a Thousand Days"as well. Buy it from your favorite vendor. For now, Amazon.com lists it as in stock for $14.99 for the double feature.

I would love this film to be released on region two DVD. 'Anne of the Thousand Days' has been out on region two DVD for a while, and has been sold at pretty low prices, so hopefully they will release this film on its own.
