Genius script and fine acting. Three great actors at the heights of their respective careers. Simply because of the shoddy print, I'd give it an 8/10, but that's the very least, and only even then if I was threatened.

Horror movies of the 70's are the best. This one has Cushing, Lee, creepiness in spades, humor, zombies, a crazy Rasputin-like character, a claustrophobic atmosphere.and a wonderful score by John Cacavas. 10/10.

People don't appreciate the skills of the actors. Cushing, Lee etc were pros.
Put Telly Savalas in a film with any modern actor and watch those "stars" turn into background players next to his charismatic presence.

I agree. This was really well done. Good cast, interesting storyline, well directed and genuinely scary. I did not like the musical score. Some folks will not score films of this genre highly.

Totally agree for me its a 10/10 as it gave me nightmares for years and i even talked about it 30 years later as being a real head twisting nightmare movie!
The whistling tune a bit like Fistful of Dynamite with Rod Steiger and the wee models used not like todays CGI just make it unique not forgetting the true greats Peter , Christopher and Telly the likes we will never see again!
                    Its uncle Frank Kirsty!
                    Its time to play!
Soon, we will all have special names!

The story is great and well before John Carpenters THE THING!
