    The original book written in 1938 and entitled Who Goes There was first made into a movie in 1951 as The Thing (From Another World). John Carpenter remade it with Kurt Russell in 1981 and then another movie, a prequel to Carpenter's version was made in 2011 as The Thing.

      So then am I to assume that Horror Express was a re-imagining of Who Goes There or even The Thing Form Anther World?
