I liked her too, She and Charles made the show work with Richard Dawson

I didn't care for Brett for the simple fact that she would beep around then when everyone else had already written their answer, she would write a long drawn out answer using 4-5 cards. Gene seemed to get annoyed with her quite a bit for this.

My problem with Brett is she would get too "cute" with her answers at times and cost the contestants. Just saw an episode, the question was about old man periman and a dance, the contestant said teeth, (she needed 6 to tie) every celebrity said teeth, or dentures. Brett, turned her card over smiling like she had the best answer and matched, she said "falsies" and the judges didn't give it to her. contestant lost. there are so many other examples. Be funny it you want but don't cost players the game

Brett was an attention seeker for sure, but I honestly can't imagine the show without her. She could be funny, she had great chemistry with CNR, and she added some saltiness and vinegar in contrast to the sweet, relatively quiet, female celebrity guests like Didi Conn, Joyce Bulifant, and Dr. Joyce Brothers.

I love her, too. She definitely helps make the show more entertaining.
Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.

She made the show more fun mostly with her banter with Charles, but she's the last type of woman I'd want to hang out with in person: loud, obnoxious, "Look at me!"

It was the 70s when there were a LOT of errlet's say outspoken women like Bea Arthur, Helen Reddy, Bella Abzug, Jane Fonda & Martha Mitchell.
