..since its out of print, it's going from $179.00-$300.00 on Amazon. Ouch.

check your local library. I ordered mine and will be picking it up today. It's a four CD box set.

Actually, I already own the DVD, and I downloaded the free trial version of some software that rips the audio off DVDs. Perfect. And I used it on other concert DVDs that you'd otherwise be unable to listen to on CD.

Oh, jeez, its on my laptop and I don't remember. Do a Google search on "DVD audio ripper" - there were several, this one had a trial version.

When you say check your local library, do you mean you can check it out there? Or you can actually purchase a box set from the library? Because I would love to purchase the set, but I can't see paying 250 the set, as much as I love it. And if I'm paying 120, it had better be new. I bought the School House Rock! Rocks CD, not exactly realizing what it was. I don't like it. I want the original songs, the way they were. Please inform me on the library subject. Thanks.

My advice would be to buy the DVD (under $20, plus you'd want it anyway) and rip all the audio as I described. You can then burn your own CDs. Perhaps he meant checking it out from the library and copying the CDs, then returning them.

yes, borrow it from the library (for free, they don't charge for CDs), rip it, then return it.
