I'd go for
1.Steptoe And Son
2.Porridge
3.Rising Damp
4.Till Death Us Do Part/In Sickness And In Health
5.Only Fools And Horses (although it went on on far too long)
6.Fawlty Towers
7.The Thick Of It
8.George And Mildred
9.The Office
10.Peep Show
Steptoe And Son is my number 1 but the rest aren't in any particular order but i've left out loads of others including Dear John ,Man About The House, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, One Foot In The Grave and The Likely Lads/Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads to name just some, i've never seen an American sitcom that i've even remotely cared for, the Americans make better films but we make better sitcoms but in any event the sitcom is an American invention anyway.

I cannot believe that after all these years everyone except 1 person didn't include the most popular British comedy series "Til Death do us Part". Which in the USA was the basis for the top USA sitcom of its day - "All in the Family". Tjl Death is my all-time favorite, followed by;
2: Some mothers do 'ave 'em
3: Dad's Army
4: Faulty Towers
5: Are you Being Served
6: Keeping up Appearances
7: 'Allo 'Allo
8: The Benny Hill Show
9: The Good Life
10: To The Manor Born
And I also liked to watch
Open All Hours
The Thin Blue Line
Steptoe And Son
