Obvious anti-war, anti-Vietnam sentiment.

This movies talks about Vietnam, the anti-war movement, soldiers killing civilians. A priest even burns himself alive the same way a Bhuddist monk did protesting the war in Vietnam.

Well yeah- Night of the Living Dead has a lot going on with civil rights (under the surface of course) but also had sentiments of Vietnam, which continued on through with the mostly realistically gory violence in 'Dawn' (Savini is a Vietnam vet). This film is creepy with its satire.

'Night Of The Living Dead' had nothing to do with civil rights! That is absolute horse****! Many people were not aware that Duane Jone's casting was coincidental. The film had been written with out regards to the character's race. Jones had a great audition, and got the part. I wish people quit with these falsehoods regarding the film. -
