The crazy people didn't attack each other, for the most part. You had the guy at the beginning that killed his wife and set his kids on fire, but after that, all the crazy people worked together against the white suits.
Thats really the only thing that bothered me. They acted more like the zombie mentality of not bothering each other and just going after humans. -

You're thinking of 28 Days Later. There is no claim in this movie that the "crazies" had symptoms which were limited to hurting people, like the zombies in the Dead movies are all supposed to be flesh eateers. The trixie virus either did two things to you: kill you or make you crazy. And when you're crazy, you can do one of a million different things, including hurting people but there is no rule that you have to only act this way (like in 28 Days Later). Here, you just become a nut and do incredibly nutty and bizarre things, like: sweeping the grass, raping your daughter, setting yourself on fire and smiling as the flames scorch your flesh, smiling like a nice old lady and then stabbing someone in the neck with a knitting needle, etc.
