I just caught this on Turner Classic Movies.
I've never heard of this in my life but the plot looked interesting. Such a good movie. The time period, the feeling of the movie, the plot. Why have I never heard of this?
Secondly, why is this rated so low? It's in the 6's. That's nuts. If anyone that worked on this movie ever stumbles on this post, you made a great movie.

I liked it, too. Hard to believe it's nearly 40 years old. I grew up during that time period, and the early seventies clothing, hair, and automobile styles were kind of scary to revisit! Also happened to notice just in passing, when the two cops were in that grocery store, they passed a display of Sunkist lemons that were being sold, 49 cents for a pack of 10 (!). Nowadays, you'd be lucky to find ONE lemon for 49 cents.
Good movie. Made me think of "Barney Miller," and "Serpico," among other things.

I liked this movie itself. It's an engaging caper comedy with fine performances all around.
What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
