Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Three Wishes for Cinderella

I watched Narnia recently, and it reminded me of something I saw on TV on the 1970s as a child. All I could remember was things coming out of nuts, and it being set in winter with real snow and cold (I remembered the condensation from the breathing). And that it was Czech.
A quick google and hey-presto! Memory did not fail me - it was Three Acorns for Cinderella. Amazing!
Is it recommended or will my 30-year on recolletions be spoiled by a re-view?

It is definitely worth watching even as an adult. Brings back that old magic of 1970s children's tv. Just one thing, it was called 'Three Gifts for Cinderella' in the UK, and you can find portions of the UK edited version on You Tube. Well worth getting the original Czech DVD with subtitles too though. Enjoy!

Thank you - I was always positive it was gifts. I absolutely loved this series when I was a child, even in black and white (I always thought Cinderella was a redhead - was I right?)

I remember this from then as well! The BBC showed a range of Czech fairy tales as I recall. My favourite was Princess Goldenhair - not available on dvd. This one was very good too.
Keep silent unless what you are going to say is more important than silence.
