I wonder what the real Laura Ingalls would have thought of how she was portrayed in The Lord is my Shepherd. How she was so upset that she didn't get another sister and she refused to even pray for Charles Jr. when he got sick. Didn't want anything to do with him! From what I understand, Laura loved her brother in real life and she was just as devastated as the rest of her family when he died. That's one of the reasons why she didn't talk about him in her books. It was a very painful memory for her. Not really sure why they felt the need to portray her as being so hateful towards him, just because her parents were excited that they finally had a boy(horror of horrors!). All it did was make her look like a spoiled, jealous brat with little to no compassion!

My own guess would be that from the moment that Michael Landon passed through the pearly gates, the real townspeople couldn’t wait to kick the ever living **** out of him
