    It doesn't matter.
If you like now as much as you did then, then that's all that matters.

I'd say the first 2 seasons hold up pretty well, as sci-fi or character-driven stories, then it gets a bit shaky. The last season is pretty weak.

The pilot movie is phenomenal, and most closely follows Caidin's novel. Even the effects were more realistic as they under-cranked the film to show high speed running etc. (that slow motion crap they went to later was not nearly as effective IMO.)
In the two subsequent tele-films they went to a more James Bond type of theme(as those films were very popular at the time). When it was picked up as a series i agree that the first season was great. Plotlines were not far fetched and the bionic effects were used sparingly.

The final season was weak. I loved the show as a kid, but I lost interest during season five.

Haven't seen it since the sci-fi channel aired it in the late 90s.

Storywise, I think it does rather well. I know when I was doing Netflicks, I would order a disk or two. My kids enjoyed watching SMDM, Bionic Woman, Kolchak, Emergency, and Wonder Woman from the 70's more than the stuff they put on TV in the late 90's and 00's. As my kids noticed, there was a story being told that was interesting. Yes, they were all cheesy in one way or another, but the characters and relationships were more substantial.
We went through 2 dvd players when they were younger because the things were constantly playing.

It still holds up very well, especially the better episodes. Yes some of the special effects are a little out of date and if the show started in 2014, they would have to call it the 6 BILLION Dollar Man (6 million wouldn't get you much these days lol), but the show holds up well.

It's okay, but The Terminator endoskeletons really make the The Six Million Dollar Man androids look a little silly now especially how those androids looked totally human with the masks on, with a mouth and everything, but when the masks fly off, there's no mouth, nothing resembling teeth, just a speaker amplifier and transistors.

The first three seasons to me are pretty good (though the first season was a little slow moving) but the show is somewhat aged. Still it is good fun. I actually am a bigger fan of The Incredible Hulk when it came to the superhero shows.

You can never compare a show by today's standards. To many kids it was the greatest show in the world and as I belong to group people who watched it as kids they all seem to still enjoy it very much. I am a Lee Majors fan but I am seeing it for the first time on TV and loving it.

The show does show it's age but I still like it. It's cheesey as hell but good cheese. BTW, I was ten yars old when the first movie came out

I have recently introduced my 9-year old grandson to the show and he told me tonight it is already one of his favorite TV shows of all time.

I finished watching the entire series and I would say it holds up pretty well. The bionic sound and the slow motion actually works. I think the first (including the three 90 minute movies) and last seasons are the best. The middle three do have some clunkers, the worst is one where pro football players are involved. The last season boasts some really impressive stuntwork by Lee Majors. In other seasons it was sometimes very obvious a stuntman was used. Not always true in the 5th. And some incredible stories. One two-parter starts on an asteroid, goes back to earth, goes to the dark side of the Moon, all while the Earth is suffering massive weather disasters. It's not exactly theatrical quality but for a 70s tv show it's very daring.
I would give the whole series 8/10.

Probably not very good since parts are getting rusty and wires are burning out.
It ain't easy for him to keep finding parts for his parts that were made in the 70's.
