The author of this original story wrote some books I loved (a trilogy set during a Soviet Occupation of Britain)but I never took to this film.
It seems dull and confusing to me,interesting to be reminded what 1970s Britain looked like but I can never see why people like it.
Anybody feel like telling me what I should be liking about it?

It's a real neat and tidy thriller directed with trademark crisp precision by Don Siegel. Moreover, there's very amusing sense of sharp self-mocking humor evident throughout which gives this film an extra tangy kick.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
