From the very first episode, I was practically rolling with laughter. I needed a new funny show to watch before bed, and this is perfect! I love the one-liners. This show has some of the best!

I take it you're young? It seems incredible someone discovering FT after all these decades when the scripts have practically passed into the vernacular. You're very lucky anyway!

It is the sitcom of sitcoms. I can watch it over and over and still smile at it. If you got the newest, remastered DVD set, you should definitely go back and watch it with John Cleese's commentary, after you watch all the eps for the first time.
I would also recommend you try 'Black Books,' featuring Dylan Moran as antisocial book shop owner Bernard Black. He resembles Basil Fawlty in many ways; he's rude to the customers and abusive to the help. There's more 'dirty' humor in BB than in Fawlty Towers, but much of it is very clever and funny.
If you're just starting to discover Britcoms, you've got some great viewing ahead of you.
