I'm trying to think of a host who has been more consistently funny and I'm having a hard time.
Christopher Walken, maybe?
Justin Timberlake, if he keeps hosting? -

I think he is a good host because of something said in the SNL book: He is the kind of guy who will not only perform in the sketches, but will help you write it to make it better. How many hosts do that?

Hanks, Baldwin, Goodman, Martin (though he's phoned it in in the last decade, sadly), Buck Henry, and Walken are all on the same plain in terms of their consistency and commitment. They easily could've been cast members and their timing and chemistry with different casts throughout the years has been impeccable.
