      From the book:
      "Tingle, ting-le, tang-le toes,
      she's a good fisherman,
catches hens, puts 'em inna pens
      wire blier, limber lock,
      three geese in a flock,
one flew east, one flew west,
one flew over the cuckoo's nest
      O-U-T- spells out
goose swoops down and plucks you out."
This children's nursery rhyme, with an obvious connection to the title of the book, is remembered by Chief Bromden after a shock treatment. This poem is allegorical to the hospital in the following ways:

      1. The Cuckoo's Nest is the hospital.
      2. The "good fisherman" is the Big Nurse. She fishes in the patients and "catches hens, puts 'em in pens". This relates back to page 58 when McMurphy described the Group Meetings as a "pecking party", a term for when a flock of hens pecks one to death. She deliberately sets them against one another, rewarding this behavior.
      3. McMurphy is the goose that flies over the cuckoo's nest. In the beginning of the book, McMurphy describes himself as the "Bull Goose Loony" (21).
      4. Bromden is the one that is plucked out of the cuckoo's nest by the goose (McMurphy) because he escapes at the end of the book into the real world because of McMurphy.
Other connections to Cuckoo birds are made throughout the novel, such as the cuckoo clock, tying them in with the oppression of the patients.

Wonderful response SnoozeAlarm, and great rebuke to yet another poster whose accusation of stupidity in something else springs from his own ignorance.
Not sure about your sig though. Clearly the scariest words in the english language are "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you President Trump."

I think Trump is a good man who sincerely wants to do good for the people of the US. I feel that the outgoing President lacked these qualities, and did great harm to the country, and that Trump's opponent would also have been bad for America. (And I think that Bush II, at least economically, also did great harm to the country, with his monetary policy.)
You are obviously welcome to respond, but I most likely will not. I just wanted to defend the President-elect.

I wouldn't want to deny you your opinion about Trump, I'm just amazed that someone who has evidently read a book could feel that way about him.

Trump is a con man, and you've been conned.
              Congratulations!

what does this film thread have to do with Trump, except some poster wanted to say "Trump" on as many irrelevant boards as they can. Speaking of "parasites", seems the majority of the masses are parasites; it's the norm.

Yes, I know you are a troll, but the egg was laid by McMurphy where he didn't really belong, in an attempt to claim the mental hospital for his temporary nest. He flew over it, into it and never left it.
