I loved watching seasons 1 and 2, and I can't wait to see more. Please bring these to DVD!

Yeah, we've been waiting long enough for seasons 3 and 4. Didn't the first two get released in September of '06? What was the point of releasing only half the episodes? It looks pathetically half-assed on Sony's part.

I agree. I just discovered the first two seasons on DVD when I did a search on Amazon.com. I didn't know it had been out for nearly two years already even though searches a year ago didn't show that it was available.
Anyway, I hope the rest of the series comes out soon. I wish I had kept my VHS copies of my favorite episodes. I had most of the series. -

It's unbelievable to see how much crap it's been realeased on DVD and how much wonderfull things such as this TV series from 1976 are still waiting on the shadow. If the digital DVD industry it had begun in 1960, all the TV shows from the golden age had gone being published progressively. And the subproducts of today TV would be mere products residual surpluses. That's simple.
Please, Sony Pictures, RELEASE MORE SEASON OF "FAMILY" (1976) NOW. -

Listen, folks, the ass hats at Sony don't appear to be listening: seasons 3, 4, 5 are obviously not a priority for them. Having waited 2 and a half years for them, I got desperate and found most of those seasons' episodes available here:

This seller has all but eight episodes of 'Family'. She has transferred them from VHS to DVD, and while the quality of the episodes varies from very good to fair, I am enjoying watching them immensely. The seller is quick, professional, and pleasant to deal with. I paid with PayPal and everything went smoothly. -

Hi ethersmum,
Thanks for pointing out the link:

I'll probably have to buy the rest from them. (Season's 1 and 2 are just not enough!)
Thanks,
Adam

Well it sure dies not look like the other seasons will be released to DVD. It's been quite a while since season 1-2 was released. It's a real shame because Family was one of the best TV shows to ever come along.

Hi
I bought my season set on Ebay, no where in Canada to buy it. I am slowly transferring my beta tapes to dvd, I think I have all of Family episodes. Even went to California to see the real house in Pasadena.

Hey, Norm!
As I've mentioned previously in another thread, the ioffer vendor from whom I purchased the remaining seasons of "Family" is missing eight episodes. If, indeed, you have these missing eight, you might be able to sell copies of them to Donna at ioffer. If you're not interested in doing that, would you be interested in selling them to any interested parties here? I'd definitely be interested. If you have a PayPal account you could get a lot of interest and some business from other "Family" fans.
The missing episodes are:
The Covenant
The Friend's Affair
And Baby Makes Three
Labors of Love
Echoes of Love
Counterpoint
A Child is Given -

I recently purchased seasons 3 through 5 on ioffer.com for $30. The seller had all but 2 episodes. The quality is pretty good; they were made from people's home tapings.

Do you have a link to the seller on ioffer or their name? I went to ioffer and their search function is terrible. I typed in "family tv show 1977" and "family season 3 three" and I got 2000 results of all sorts of garbage that doesn't even match my search.
