I just saw this movie , is a goood film but it just doesent seem the type of caracter that Travolta would play
I mean after watching Saturday Night , Pulp Fiction etcTravolta for me was always the Bad Boy gangster type of guy and it was so strange watching him as an inocent boy
He did a very good job
but it just dont loke like him for me
It was very strange to me
Does anybody feel the same way ??????

Well the way I look at it is, that John didnt do any "gangster" movies at this time. The only other role he played before this would be Vinnie Barbarino, so it is not technically strange, because he played many types of roles then, he still does but he wasnt catorgarized back then.
I MET JOHN TRAVOLTA ON 9/13/07 AT 5:45PM!!!!!!!!!!

He played a troubled teen who kills another boy in a fist fight in The Rookies (season 2 1973). He had roles before this and Barbarino.

JT has played many non-abrasive and light hearted roles in his career. Look Who's Talking, being an example. It just seems his most notorious roles are edgier.

            Strange Post!!!!!
Travolta was not a famous movie star and only just starting to make a bleep the radar when this was filmed. He nailed the role, especially considering it could have easily ended up an embarrassing and cheesy portrayal in the wrong hands. Director Randal Kleiser knew what he was doing and Travolta asked for him to direct
            Grease
            .
            Plastic Bubble
helped give his movie career a trajectory and his exposure in the popular
            Carrie
from the same year helped also. He already had a heartthrob following with
            Kotter
            tv series as well.
I guess context/concept of age and time is not something you grasp….
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
