Every copy i have bought is the same awful print. There has to be a DVD worthy print out there somewhere.John Travolta help your fans get the best version of this movie available.Every Actor's First Starring role deserves to be out in the best shape.I know it's a soft spot for John because of Diana Hyland but what a best way to remember her by being able to see her face in perfect clarity DVD.

It may not be as simple as "let's get the original 35mm film print and telecine it to perfection". Plastic Bubble is public domain, nobody has the copyright to it, an original film print may not even exist since no corporation "owns" the movie. Mind you, this is all just an assumption on my part, primarily because of how good a movie this really is and yet no better-than-average looking DVD release has been done or announced as yet.

SilentDues is correct. With the film in public domain there may not be a clean source of the movie. Another problem may be that with so many different sources issuing this film on DVD there may not be any motivation for a company to pay the cost of cleaning up a print. Unless a public domain movie is a real masterpiece (like say Nosferatu or Metropolis) it's rare that you get any sort of special edition.
