Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Boy in the Plastic Bubble

@ Walgreens. It really looks like a bootleg (it's region-free, even!). Doesn't even have an official DVD logo on it; just a cheap knock-off: "dvd movie." The disk froze in the older of my two players about five minutes into the film. Although it played through on the other one as well as on my computer.
Finally: The scene where Todd is wheeled outside in his mobile chamber "to get a tan" was quite interesting. I was amazed at just how pale he was. He might have passed for a vampire!

Yeah, I got it at the dollar store. It works, and also has the movie "Katherine" on it.

You must have bought the same one I did.Smiley angel. mine was a dollar and it has Katherine on it. I finally got around to watching this last night. It was pretty poor quality but what can I expect for one dollar. It plays fine but looks like a copy of a copy. Remember seeing this ages ago when it was on TV. bought it for nostalgia.

I bought the DVD for like $5 a few years ago after they aired it on TV Land and was disappointed with the film quality. On the DVD, it looks its age with a yellow tint and age lines. It looks better on TV.
