The opening post is a troll sock pretending to be MMC2, the v is different in his title name. This has been happening a lot here. I had some ass do it to me a couple of weeks ago and used the same avatar, but called themselves ToasterCheese….
I got them deleted.
"Carrie" is a work of fiction. And this is where suspension of disbelief comes into play.
Exactly and the scenario King depicted with Carrie in his book and De Palma depicted in the movie explains its because Carrie was sheltered by her mother and it was still feasible, especially since she hadn't experienced a period herself.
While an argument could be made that she would have still been somewhat socialized due to aggregating at school, Carrie kept herself away from the others, no doubt at her mother's instigation, would have been excused from certain classes due to personal belief and was friendless due to other kids keeping away from her. She was difficult to reach.
Its a moot argument with Carrie's scenario and it seems pointless in others bringing it up. It was accepted for its time.

She was but I don't think she needed that nose job. That much of a change makes you not look like yourself

Exactly. It's your nose that makes you look like yourself. Change it too much and you no longer like like "you"
