My husband just told me, and I never knew this, but when Stephen King wrote the manuscript for Carrie, he actually threw it in the fireplace, thinking it wasn't good, and his wife retrieved it from the fireplace before it was burned, and she read it, and turned out that the manuscript was sold, the following year started his career!

Really? I never knew that. I'm not much of a scary movie fan but I have always liked this one and the book is great. I've always been impressed with how a man could get into a female mind and seem to understand all the emotions that come with being a teenager. Thank the Lord his wife got it before it burned! Doesn't the saying go behind a great man is a great woman? Way to go Mrs. King!

Interestingly enough, negative comments aside and he may deserve them, but Woody Allen does this as well and it is pretty remarkable. Few men should ever write a story about a woman from the woman's POV.but the great ones seem to do it with ease.

Since we never see Tommy exit the school that's on fire, I'd say yes to him dying in the film which is brutally tragic and unfair since he was basically a nice guy.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
I liked his character.
Great movie for Halloween!
