Best current show?

Well, its been almost two yrs since my original post on this thread and it was interesting reading my own take on these series at that time.
"Dexter" seemed to drag in the 4th season even with the great acting of John Lithgow. IMO it's missing the drama of discovery from inside the police department that was written so beautifully in seasons 1 & 2 when "Sgt. Dokes" was breathing down Dexter's neck.
"30 Rock" still the best comedy on TV!
I still enjoy "Ugly Betty" but it seems as if I'm the only one (LOL). It's certainly not as good/fresh as the first seasons but it still has some truly funny moments. They've lost a huge portion of their audience and are being canceled.
"Mad Men" going through ups and downs these past two seasons it drags, then gets to pace, then drags again. But I'm still a fan.
"Damages" still going strong and is one of if not THE best drama on tv as of now (in mid-third season).
I wait anxiously for yet another season of "In Treatment"! Great stories and acting. Easily one of the top five dramas on TV today.
"Big Love" took a huge dive in story quality in season 4 and has become a joke IMO (hopefully, only temporarily).
"Breaking Bad" has done nothing but improve and "Californication" is still very good two of my favorite series.
"Heroes" never pulled out of sophomore blues truly disappointing how bad it became considering how many interesting characters and storylines that could have been created. I don't bother to watch it anymore.
"Swingtown" and "Fear Itself" were canceled (too) quickly.
The final season of "the Shield" didn't disappoint (well, not too much) and had a conclusion that I wouldn't have chosen myself, but was somewhat satisfying nonetheless.
"Boston Legal" was guilty pleasure to the end
So long, "Pushing Daisies", it was nice while it lasted.
"Weeds" is now a guilty pleasure, not as good as it once was, but I still like it kinda.
And finally, "Two and a Half Men" is still sophomoric humor, but I've grown to enjoy it in syndication. -

The only show that I watch that isn't reality, is DEXTER. love that show, Julie Benz is smokin'.
I watch a lot of reality-like shows though, like Unsolved Mysteries, Supernanny, Wife Swap, the Girls next Door, Chelsea Lately..etc.

I feel reality TV is a curse put upon mankind.
If you watch it, then you are feeding the evil
beast. I won't talk to people that watch it.- OP, Battlestar Galactica is numero 1.
- Lost
- Simpsons
- Family Guy
- South Park.
- The Shield.
- The Office
That's it, I can't think of anything else. The
rest sucks as far as I'm concerned.

Battlestar Galactica. Most definitely.
There are no Kate's or Charlie's on BSG. All the main characters are good, well-acted, well-written, and serve a purpose.

I would have said Lost if it wasn't for that dreadful 4th season.
Instead I'll go with Bones closely followed by Boston Legal and Special Victims unit.
