Go on then.

Battlestar Galactica. Most definitely.
There are no Kate's or Charlie's on BSG. All the main characters are good, well-acted, well-written, and serve a purpose.

I would have said Lost if it wasn't for that dreadful 4th season.
Instead I'll go with Bones closely followed by Boston Legal and Special Victims unit.

BSG, easily, followed by Damages (the trailers for the second season are phenomenal), Lost, and Supernatural.
I still watch Heroes too, but that's more the "stopping to watch a train wreck" type of show than anything else at this point.
Good morning, good morning, everybody, in the news this morning, good morning. -

Battlestar Galactica by an enormous margin. Enormous margin!
Runners up?
Charlie Brooker's Screen Burn
True Blood
And the Holy Trinity of cartoons: Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park.

One
word:
SUPERNATURAL
This is by far, the best "cult" TV show on broadcast channels right now, due mostly to the acting of the two leads, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. These two guys can run the gamut of emotions, sometimes in a single episode, and take you right along for the ride. Their acting talent is nothing short of phenomenal, and it irritates the beep out of me that they, and others like them, are consistantly ignored by "awards" shows like the Emmys!
Ok, I'll get down off my soapbox now..

Lost
Dexter
Mad Men
Battlestar Galactica
30 Rock
And if it counts, even though ABC has announced they won't be ordering more episodes, Pushing Daisies.

The quick and witty dialog of "Pushing Daisies" was so much fun. I'll miss it.

- Always Sunny
(trying to be patient for the next season) - Reaper
- 30 Rock
- Supernatural
SN is number four cause I'm not really into the myth-arc lately, but that last episode (Winchester books!) was even funnier than anything the other three shows have done in a while.

Community. That show is pure genius and will be forever remembered by the Abeds of the future as the television gem is it. I don't know what is the definition of a cult or successful or popular TV show, but when it makes a claymation-animated Christmas episode, a zombie apocalypse episode and a trilogy of FCKING PAINTBALL WAR episodes, for me it automatically enters every definition possible, and even some definitions still not invented !! It's the best thing since sliced bread. And Arrested Development.
I am also a fan of The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who and Criminal Minds.
