I appreciate the info on Youtube very much. I've never uploaded anything to youtube, but for my birthday July 1 my husband gave me a brand new cell phone which does do video. So you never know. My username on Youtube is Hilary Rodham but I'm going to change it as I disapprove of some of her ideas and some things she has done. I'll check out One Step Beyond on there. There is an episode I recall pretty well. It's about a man who lived or lives in Hawaii and he had a precognitive experience involving a tidal wave hitting Hawaii, but he got the facts with it (I didn't) and went to the state gov't in Honolulu and told them about his clairvoyant experience. Apparently he was well-known enough because they believed him and evacuated Honolulu at the time he said the tidal wave was to arrive. It arrived on time and the people of Honolulu were saved. That has to be verifiable somewhere, don't you think?
I own The Uninvited on VHS tape. Only way I could buy it on Amazon. May get the DVD now. Gail Russell was pure magic in The Uninvited, one of my absolute favorite movies. It was the first movie I ever saw that would admit there are spirits. Too bad her pathological shyness drove her to become an alcoholic which killed her. She could have been a major star. I have Sullivan's Travels on a DVR recording from TCM. Also one of my favorites. Under my old username on IMDB scotswedebrit I have a list of my favorite Sherlock Holmes movies starring Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce. I spent 12 hrs. straight making that list as I added my own descriptions of the films. There's a mistaken fact in one of them and I've got to change it. But get so busy with other things.

I saw the original Outer Limits too when I was a kid. Remember "It Crawled Out of The Woodwork?" After watching that episode I got scared every time my mother ran the vacuum cleaner for a long time. Also I had trouble looking directly at a sunflower. I was afraid it would shoot out some kind of spores at me. That was a different episode.

YES. I love One Step Beyond. I like that the stories are real occurrences. I had a dream in the mid-90's about a tidal wave. In the dream I saw a palm through a high window in this small building and knew I was somewhere in Central America. I was frantically trying to get a woman and her little son out of there to safety, but she couldn't understand me. When I woke up I thought I'd just had a "frantic dream." 3 weeks later a tidal wave devastated the east coast of Nicaragua. That's the trouble with some clairvoyancenot enough info in the dream or premonition. There is an episode on One Step Beyond where a guy in Hawaii knew there would be a tidal wave there and he did warn people and they got to safety. I'm sorry I couldn't have done the same for Nicaragua.
I like Twilight Zone, original Outer Limits and Night Gallery. If you want to see a good episode of Outer Limits try The Man Who Was Never Born. You can see it on Hulu. Or IMDb will take you to Hulu if you go to the episode list from the detail page of the show on this site. I watched Corpus Earthling right here on IMDb. The suggested episode is in the first season episode list. -

You can count me in. I didn't believe that most of the stories were real, but I enjoyed them all the same. This show doesn't get shown on TV as much as it should, which is very said. They certainly do not make TV like they used to any more.
The best episode was the documentary episode about the ''mushroom'' in Mexico. Very fascinating.

Glad I found one fan of One Step Beyond hosted by actor John Newland. Do you get ME TV on your cable or satellite system? It's really KVME broadcasting from Bishop, CA to PST and CST zones. If you do, perhaps we ought to launch a letter-writing + postcard campaign to them to bring on One Step Beyond. Fans of I Dream of Jeannie have gotten it on the air plus Bewitched. I don't know if KVME has an email address which would be cheaper but then they'd know it was us every time. I have 2 email addresses but that's it.
I don't remember the "mushroom" in Mexico episode, but I do remember the one about a man who had a strong clairvoyant episode wherein he KNEW Honolulu was going to be hit by a tidal wave. There was no warning system in those days for Hawaii. But apparently he was well-known enough that he got officials in Honolulu to believe him. Honolulu was evacuated and the tidaL wave arrived on schedule and the whole population was saved. That episode had authentic back-up from Honolulu media so it was true. I do believe many episodes were true and some were real happenings that were turned into "fantasies."
Talk about weird. We were taught in school about a volcano rising up out of a farmer's field in Mexico. It started with a small bump in the field with smoke coming out. The farmer was alarmed and, I suppose, contacted somebody in Mexico City about it. Before anyone could get there from Mexico City, a gigantic volcano arose from the earth. It is named Popocatepetl and, of course, is still an active volcano to this day. That would have made a great episode on One Step Beyond.

Yes, it would be nice to have the series back, but then that would be a miracle. I don't know if people today are as interested in true or semi-true stories of ESP anymore. I've had 4 episodes of precognition in my own life beginning first at age 13. The other 3 were in the mid-90s. 2 were unimportant but the 3rd was a dream about myself inside this one-room house frantically trying to get this Latina woman & her little boy to go with me. But they couldn't understand English. I sensed I was in Central America but not which country. I saw a palm frond through a high window. I knew a tidal wave was coming but the dream ended with me still trying to persuade the mother and child to go with me. After I awakened I thought it might just be a nightmare, but in my heart I knew it was true. But nothing could be done. 3 weeks later a massive tidal wave hit the east coast of Nicaragua and many people died. I felt horrible about it for a long time. -

"Where Are They?", "The Voice", and "Brainwave" are among my favourites. Can't recall the title but also the one where a guy leaves his rival for a woman's affection in an icy ravine to die, and then every time he gets near the girl they feel cold as ice to one another. Spooky stuff.

Great to find so many other fans of this series. It is indeed a spooky series. I wish it could be aired again or maybe another series could be made looking at other unexplained real life events.

I remember watching "One Step Beyond" on WGN back in the nineties. Since it was filmed in the late fifties and early sixties it was arguably the first series to discuss Big Foot, alien abduction and other strange phenomena which had regained popularity. Most episodes, however, were about psychic vision dreams and the like.
The one thing that made the series stand out was the Harry Lubin theme music. It would send a chill up your spine every time you would hear it. It was later used during the second season of "The Outer Limits".

I've watched several episodes, I think they were available on Netflix a couple years back, maybe Crackle. I don't remember. Reading the title I didn't remember having ever watched it, but the episode I watched, "Return of Mitchell Campion" came back to me as soon as it started. It probably couldn't steal the thunder of more established similar shows and faded into obscurity.
But the episodes I've seen are every bit as good as an average Twilight Zone and much better than an Outer Limits.
