Mysterious Skin is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I haven't seen the other one. But Mysterious Skin was suppose to be dark and sad though.

I will have to respectfully disagree. Also Brokeback Mountain, good actors but disgusting normalization of an abhorrent lifestyle.
