I saw a job advertised a few months ago in Florida editing trailers on FCP. It doesn't pay much though. The job I saw was paying $30k per year. You are better off cutting features than trailers. It is a much easier life and better paid. You don't usually need to get involved heavily in graphics and effects like you HAVE to in trailers. You need a very sound background in Photoshop and After Effects to cut trailers.

I agree there might not be as much money in trailers, but for an editor who loves to create effects and faced paced film. Not a bad living.

she's cool she edited all of Baz Lurmans flms [Strictly Ballroom, Romeo+Juliet and my favorite MOULIN ROUGE!]
She also did Muriels Wedding, Road to Perdition and a Low budget film called Head On.

                Possibly Raja Gosnell.

, who worked with George Lucas, Ford Coppola, etc when their careers were gaining headway
I'll take just that one name for the entire modern era.
For the classic era, I'd have to draw up a huge list and do a lot of fact-checking so I will abstain from that chore at just this particular moment.
