The character that I disliked the most was Dennis Phillips. It seemed like every line he delivered had no emotion or meaning to it. It was as if the actor didn't have his heart in the role, and was just going through the motions.
I loved Chuck and Bob. Every time they were in a scene, you knew something hilarious was going to happen. But having said that, some of Bob's zingers could be extremely mean-spirited. Like his "If at first you don't succeed" line after Jodie's attempted suicide. Stuff like that made Bob (actually Chuck) look like a horrible person. I liked the way Bob actually played with Wendy when he first met her; it was the first time Bob (Chuck) seemed somewhat nice.
The Major had his moments, but yeah, the joke went on a little too long.
Out of the major cast members, the only one I might pick for this topic would be Jessica. I know her innocence and "scatterbrained" personality was supposed to be part of her charm, but some of the things she'd say were just so stupid and clueless that it would make you wonder how somebody like that could function in society. -

He wasn't a regular, but after Jessica decided to take Chester back, I found Detective Donahue to just be obnoxious. The idea of letting him stay at the house until he was over his heartbreak was dumb enough, but then he kept insulting Chester every chance he got.
There was also the scene where he kept interrupting Chester and Jessica's efforts to make love, because he needed the right pajamas. Obviously, it was nothing more than a c-blocking effort, but he should've been thrown out, regardless of whether he could never make it past the door.
Oh stewardessI speak jive. -

Quite a few starting with the Major and Chuck & Bob, I appreciate Jay Johnson is very talented and a nice guy too but that dummy of his spouted off too much venom for my liking. Eunice and Carol were two high maintanance madams that needed dropping from a great height. Lastly Jessica's suitors Detective Donoghue and El Puerco both very annoying to say the least.

Bob and/or Chuckthere never seemed to be a point, like did Chuck have an act or was this a Twilight Zone type thing where Bob controlled Chuck? Even as this was a farcical type of show it still seemed over the top.

I find Chuck/bob and The Major hilarious. They added to the overall madness of the show. I notice lots of people naming Carol because she was nasty, well that was the whole point of her character she was supposed to be neurotic, hypocritical and totally selfish - you weren't supposed to like her. I never liked Benson's comedy moments, I liked when he was part of the story but found his dry come backs a bit boring. Oh and I hated that El Puerco person.

Absolutely agree about Chuck, Bob and the Major. Benson was cool though. The biggest -I'll say- "disappointment" was John Byner. I used to think he was one of the funniest stand-ups, when I was a kid, anyway, but Det. Donahue was a lousy "Soap" character. Even so, he was all wrong for it.

- Carol: she was such a bitch!!! she knew he was gay but kept pushing herself on him, managed to sleep with him and later wanted to live with him as friends but got between Jodie and Dennis, etc etc
- Eunice, she was really mean to Dutch.
- Chester Tate, what a bitch!!!

- Carol. I hate women like that; sanctimonious, manipulative and unstable. What did Jodie see in her again?
- El Puerco. He ruined this show. Seriously, that was the dumbest storyline ever.
- Chester. He was a philandering jerk who had no jokes and almost let his own wife take the fall for what he did.
- Dutch, and by extension Eunice. Most annoying and bland couple ever. Plus Eunice was no replacement for Corinne.
You laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at you because you're all the same.
