Dutch should've picked Corrine!

I remember they did episodes pointing out how Corrine was much prettier than Eunice. I felt seeing as Soap was a satire of Daytime Dramas they should've went all out and re-casted. They do it in soaps all the time. If anything it would've cool to see other characters make in-jokes about how "different" Corrine looks.

I guess because he had the history with Eunice? Corinne was one of my fave characters, I wish she stayed and Eunice left LOL! she sure was a bitch!
Eunice had a hilarious scene a few eps back (reruns on Sunday nights) where El Puerco's men had to frisk everyone to check for weapons at the Tate'a house and Eunice kept saying oh you better check me again I might have something on me and she was all excited LMAO! -

I wonder what would have happened if Diana Canova had not left. She did in fact leave to star in her own series "I'm A Big Girl Now." I liked that show, but I would have preferred her stay on Soap. The show only lasted one season.

I agree, Dutch should have picked Corrine because she really cared about him and didn't treat him like dirt the way Eunice did. I liked her better when she was having an affair with the Senator. When she got together with Dutch she turned into a real bitch.

Of all the main charatcers,I liked Unice the least. I found her boring and yes, later, very unpleasanr.
If Dutch makes her sick, why marry him? She was "scared"? Bull! She just wanted to go back to sleeping with other men .
Corinne would have been the better choice,no question but Diana (as mentioned) was leaving for her own series.) Which I thought was going to be a spin off for her character.

Season 3 just started up, so I haven't seen the personality shift for Eunice. But I'm not liking the short haircut on her.
Corrine, although promiscuous, had a cute naivete about her.
For what it's worth, both have aged very well. I can't believe Jennifer Salt is almost 68 or Diana's pushing 60! I'm only 29, but I'd uhwell, nevermind all that. O:-)

Funny that both Jennifer Salt & Three's Company's Joyce DeWitt had charatcers that went from having longer hair & being down to earth.
to shorter hair and becoming characters that seemed a bit more ummm.shrill?
Of the 2,Joyce's character of Janet,at least had normal human moments. Eunice never felt that way to me,she's just a selfish daddy's girl who sleeps around.

I agree. Eunice was a bitch and I couldn't believe he had such a hard time choosing between them, let alone choosing her.
Makes sense that the actress who played Corrine was leaving. If she'd stayed I bet he would have gone with her instead.

Remember that Eunice was Dutch's first relationship after years in prison, so he may have still felt some attachment to her. Plus she arranged the deal to get him out of prison, so he may have felt obligated to stay with her.
Corrine was much prettier and nicer, but when you have a longer history with someone else, it can be hard to totally break it off with them.
