    I was a kid when I saw this, and I never saw the whole thing. I just remember the ending, it seemed to imply the grandma was fake, I think there was a yellow cassette tape in her. And I think it was a kids movie, but it had real actors. I was born in 1986, and I was probably about 5 when I saw it. That's all I know

      My first mental image is from "The Electric Grandmother" (1982 TV movie). It's based on a Ray Bradbury story titled "I Sing The Body Electric". Previously, it was filmed as an episode of "Twilight Zone".
      Of course, I haven't seen the movie for many decades.

        That's gotta be it, but now I have no idea where the cassette tape thing came from lol it's not in the ending clip.

          I was glancing at it, and they do fit together a heart-shape piece with recorded voices.
          It's been such a long time; I do recall the "TZ" episode but not the movie.
