I've replayed the movie numerous times to try to hear and understand what JJ says as he is looking down into the water after Bobby falls in. Does anyone have a clue as to what he is saying? Is it in Italian? Gotta know. Thanks! Lol!

when bobby falls off the bridge double J said to tony, did you see that..I guess its like saying i can`t believe what happenbut im going to listen to it again and if I hear any different I will write back.. -

It sounds like he says "madre cinta" - "madre" meaning "mother". Perhaps it is something like "madre sainta" - as if he's praying to the Virgin Mary or at least invoking her name? Sounds plausible to me.

I was sure that there was another post about this exact issue but I can't spot it right now.Anyway,I personally think that Double J says 'interesting dying' after the fall.That's how it was translated in Greek when aired and that's also how it sounds to me.It makes sense if you recall the hospital scene when he clearly humiliates Bobby for being a coward not to participate in the gang fight.Maybe he felt that his behaviour against him led Bobby to this outburst and eventually,his death.

It does matter, as they show his catholic upbringing coming into play if he indeed does say Madre Santa. I just read somwhere he said "And God gave his only son."

It's even in the IMDB Quotes. but, i'm too lazy to get the dvd and such. maybe i'll You Tube it.
But let's just say he said, "Holy Shyt!" and leave it at that!!!

Vic Morrow was great. He was one of the best actors ever. I get a big thrill out of watching him. A BIG thrill. LOL. I,too,am VERY enamored with him. Just totally infatuated.
