Yeah, I always wondered how that name got past the censors. It was on prime-time for a family audience for cryin' out loud!

According to the episode of "Married With Children" where Al Bundy's boss at his fast-food side job was Pauly Shore, I believe "boner" also means a mistake.
Pauly: Bundy, you pulled another burger boner.
It makes sense, since "anal" also means fussy and orderly. At the end of the day, a network is safe from censorship when it comes to the dictionary.

So you're saying that I leave things messy, I pulled an anal boner?

And now, Dick Butkus has died. Given his surname, you would think that he would prefer to be billed as “Richard Butkus.” I don’t follow sports, so the Saturday morning sitcom “Hang Time” is how I first heard of him, back in ‘98 when he replaced Reggie Theus as the coach. “HANG Time” with Dick. The jokes write themselves. R.I.P.

As a lifetime Chicago area resident, I've been laughing at that name for decades.

I know I'm late, but Bill Clinton released a sax album in 1995, titled "The Pres. Blows." Me thinks it would not have a lot of record sales if that affair with Monica had never been brought to the masses. Thus, the double entendre in the album.

A little late to this thread, but here's what I've read about this episode.
There was a write up in a newspaper before this episode aired, it talked about Conrad Bain and Dana Plato both playing drag in their respective roles.
I've read along side of that, that Bonar Bain was only on set because at the time they didn't have the technology (or something…) to show both Anna and Mr D. in the same shot, so apparently Bonar Bain was used in the scenes required both Anna and Mr D. to be in it.
I do not know what they did with Kimberly/Hans though.
On a side note, I saw some skit of DS that Bonar Bain did ("diff'rent Folks) and you could absolutely tell that was not Conrad. They have the same sounding voice but Bonar defintley looked different, and also his way of speaking was different, he spoke with a much bolder tone, sort of less friendly sounding and less gentle than Conrad.
