I love the fact that Halloween 2 picks up right from where Halloween 1 left off. But I think they could’ve done better with timing things out because now this has become a really really long night.
I was under the impression than by the end of Halloween 1 it’s at least around Midnight or so. The trick or treaters have winded down and things are pretty much silent in the street.
But nope, here comes Halloween 2 and Michael escapes Dr. Loomis and the police and he’s suddenly on the prowl again for Round 2. We don’t really see trick or treaters, or at least I don’t remember. I do recall seeing trick or treaters at the hospital who were injured for whatever reason. So around what time does Laurie get to the hospital and what time does she finally confront Michael again because now it seems like it could’ve been 7 or 8am on November 1st and the sun should be coming out by the end of part 2.

      Climax of Halloween:
Michael attacks Laurie and is shot by Dr. Loomis. The police arrive, and Michael seemingly disappears after falling from the balcony.
      10:00 PM - 10:15 PM:
Laurie is taken to the hospital:
The movie ends with Loomis searching for Michael while Laurie is transported to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital.
      Halloween II Timeline
      10:15 PM - 11:00 PM:
      Laurie arrives at the hospital:
Shortly after the events of the first film, Laurie is treated for her injuries, and Michael is still on the loose.
      11:00 PM - 12:00 AM:
      Michael attacks the hospital:
The chaos escalates as Michael begins killing hospital staff, creating a sense of urgency. Loomis searches for him, with various encounters happening in the hospital.
      12:00 AM - 1:00 AM:
      Final Confrontation:
