Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Halloween

Anyone else disappointed in just the overall lack of the classics like this so far on TV this fall? I mean I know AMC has the Fear Fest stuff going on, but there is literally been nothing else on any other channel as far these classic horror films. How are the Halloweens, Friday the 13ths, Nightmare on Elm streets not being played on a loop all October? Hell even Hocus Pocus hasn't been on the Family Channel at all this fall. I'm kind of upset about this.

You don't expect Halloween to be in the family channel, do you? Lol.
Movie Theater: Young Frankenstein 10/10. RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time.

I think Hocus Pocus is going to start it's rotation on Freeform this week (formally known as ABC Family Channel).
I agree there is a lack of good horror films, but give it more time. Usually during the very last week of October the better films start to crop up. In the mean time I have my dvds/bluray!

Yea, its always a wait until the week of deal now. So stupid. You know what else sucks? They start with like Friday the 13th part I at 9am when everyone is at work. So you cant see the early movies of all these classics. We get stuck with Halloween H20 or Jason goes to New York by the time the late afternoon and night programming starts.

Yeah last week Halloween was on all day long but it was a Thursday! What do they give on weekends? Chucky sequels and Nightmare on Elm Street. So ridiculous.

I enjoyed the first Chucky. The first Nightmare was excellent as well.

Yup I enjoyed the first Child's Play and Nightmare as well, but not the sequels.

Agreed. Though, I liked New Nightmare and thought it was inventive.
