Give a thousand monkeys a thousand laptops and they'd all be writing their stupid opinions on IMDB.

Does audio recollections mean an audio commentary like the one on the original release?

DVDBeaver says the DVD is R0, but Amazon lists the DVD as R2. Does anyone know what the real Region code is? It would really help.

I'm a little out of place, so, did the DVD come out already?

Why has no one noticed that the DVD Blu Ray has being shelved. I sold my original dvd copy in anticipation of the blu-ray release. What gives Arrow films?

                          yellowrobe1,
                          The first edition of
                          Martin
that was released on Region 1 DVD was in 4:3 only; however, the quality was not great. The colours were quite faded and it effectively looked like a shoddy VHS transfer.
The latest Special Edition Region 2 DVD - which I currently do not own - apparently offers the movie in both 4:3 and 16:9. Do you know if Romero had a preferred aspect ratio for
                          Martin
? It seems, since he shot it in 4:3 (or 1:37 : 1, according to IMDB) that that would be the aspect ratio he would have preferred it to be viewed. However, directors such as Stanley Kubrick are known to have shot certain movies - such as
                          The Shining
                          and
                          Full Metal Jacket

                          • which were shot in 4:3 and then cropped for subsequent DVD and Blu-Ray releases, without a lot of complaint from fans.
Has Romero ever stated a preference for Martin, do you know?

on the commentary track on the lions gate dvd he states that he likes the 4:3 ratio better despite the lions gate dvd is cropped but he seamed to be happy with the transfer overall despite the ratio
but annoyingly there are reports on the internet that the 4:3 version of martin on the arrow disk comes with some sound glitches and is out of synch
has anyone here watched the Italian version im interested how it differs from the directors cut
you will have to forgive the lack of full stops lack of proper spelling im dyslexic but not stupid

Thanks for the answer Zach. I only just noticed that question now. I was pretty sure Romero did indeed prefer 4:3 for that film but wouldn't have been able to provide much of a basis for that assertion the way you did.
