I was surprised to find out that he was still alive when I looked him up a few months ago. It was nice to see him in those reunion clips on Youtube. R.I.P.

That was part of the joke, that his name sounded like "barf," which is what the customers usually did at the end of his sketches.

Barth was wonderful. I did not know he was Christine's uncle.
