On nick there used to be this in between the programs cartoon that was:

Well, I pretty much grew up watching Nickelodeon, as well. I'm not sure when it started, but I still remember a commercial from 1986:
"The United States of America is 210 years old,
The Statue of Liberty is 100,
Nick and Nite is 1."
I guess that means Nick at Nite turns 20 next year. Before that, I remember that the day's programming ended with Inspector Gadget and Mighty Mouse before heading off into the nocturnal rainbow. -

You can't forget "The Secret World of Alex Mack".. but seriously, I used to love this that show, "Are you afraid of the Dark" "Hey Dude" "Pete and Pete" and all those others. I hope to see them all soon! I agree with green, if they had that on, I would quit my job and never leave the house! But I loved "You can't do that on television" Alanis Moresette wasn't the best actress in the world on that show, she was only on for one season. Thats the reason why I felt I shouldn't spell her name correctly.

How about
Nick Rocks
Star Trek: The Animated Series
Sparticus and the Sun beneath the sea (theme song by Menudo!)
The Little Prince
Belle and Sebastian
Today's Special
Banana Man
The Adventures of TinTin
The Little Koala
The Third Eye
And back in the day, Nick only played until like 6:00 PM, then turned into A&E.
MEMORIES!!! There are too many CRAPPY "season one" tv box sets out there for some of these great shows to be ignored. Whoever owns the rights to "You Cant do that on TV" and "Pinwheel" is sitting on a MINT! They'd better not wait too long, or the generation who grew up with these will lose their raging sense of 80s nostalgia. Let's get on the stick, TV Ontario. -

MY GOD! Yes, finally someone who remembers the Third Eye! I have been trying to find info on that show for a long time. I remember that the show was a bunch of serial pieces. The one I remember the most was the Stonehenge one, where the people of this small farming village would look at a light or something and turn into stone. I vaguely remember one that was in an underground cavern, with a small, raised labyrinth on the floor, and the kids had to walk around it or something. It's been a long time, sorry if my memory isn't so good. Please, if ANYONE has ANY info on this show, let me know.

Pinwheel, Pinwheel Spining around..
these were all great shows. I remember not being able to go to summer camp so i use to watch "Salute Your Shorts" every day and it was like going to camp without all the bordem. I also use to get up early in the am to catch Mr. Wizard. Nick also showed some Bill Plympton cartoons too. There was also David the Gnome. and does anyone remember that cartoon about the boy that lived one the moon or a planet of some sort that had a single rose growing on it with a glass case around it. He would catch shooting stars with his net and travel some where different.
Camp An-a-wan-a..
