I think the sexual aspects add to their beauty. Geiger uses this with all of his artwork and sculptures, and sometimes it is overt and other times, it's more subtle, but it's always there.

The Alien didn't invade anything. Humans went to its planet. And the alien's life cycle the way you are describing it could be lots of other kinds of bacteria or viral infections. -

Well ..kind of it did. The alien was the parasite in the host/parasite relationship. Infestation would probably be more fitting…but invasion I think is adequate.
Humans did not go to the aliens planet…but instead went to location of the derelict space crafts distress signal. I would call this scenario an ambush…but the alien eggs did not send the signal…so that doesn't work
Don't get me wrong…the aids theory is still dumb

Ahh, but wait. Suppose a rogue egg snuck off and subverted everything and secretly sent a distress signal, fully knowing a bunch of curious humans with malicious intents on exploiting other species would send a group of people to investigate, and the rogue egg's machinations would be complete!

I was just address the first movie like itty was. But yeah the prequel, Prometheus shows that the humanoid aliens that were space traveling went to that planet where the alien eggs were and then there was their black goo DNA that mixed with the alien to create hybrid alien human whatever. Lol…the distress signal was left from those humanoids that got stuck on the alien planet.
Weyland sent humans to that alien planet with the black goo to make human alien hybrids. So yeah…people went to the alien.
Not the other way around.
