Or are they different from each other? Many say the eggs also looks different in Covenant. Thoughts?

      We don't know yet.
I'm hoping the egg seen in the trailer for AC is Shaw morphed like Brett in the DC of A1.
SRS wanted to expand on the SJ's origins in Pro.
Looks like we might get to see a vase (egg) bombing scene in AC.
This might lead to those small organic pods which release tiny spores which can enter the ear.

        That would be awesome!

I think that some of them do look the same.

Covenant should never have been made. Period.

              Agreed!
              I do think that "
              ALIEN: COVENANT
" does have it's moments but not many of them unfortunately.
Honestly, I think that they should give the "
              ALIEN
" Franchise back to James Cameron.
I realize that Ridley Scott was the one that created it (it is really his baby) and I actually liked "
              PROMETHEUS
" but after what happened with "
              ALIEN: COVENANT
", I do think that it is time for the Franchise to be once again put in someone else's hands and I think that that someone is James Cameron once again.
He definitely understands the Franchise, He himself even said that "
              ALIEN: COVENANT
              " is not the "
              ALIEN
" Film that he himself would have made.
When James Cameron has finally finished making his "
              AVATAR
" Movies, I really hope that the Studio will once again give him the "
              ALIEN
" Franchise and that will then be his next project (after his "
              AVATAR
              " Movies).
I will admit though that I have got a bad feeling that after Cameron has finished his "
              AVATAR
" Movies, the Studio will then want him to make another "
              TERMINATOR
" Movie in which he would write and direct (instead of just overseeing the writing like he did with the last "
              TERMINATOR
              " Movie).

I also actually would have liked to have seen them let Neill Blomkamp make that "
                ALIEN
" Movie that he was going to make.
I had heard that it was going to be a Direct Sequel to "
                ALIENS
" and that he was going to bring back both Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn in it (before the project was canceled, Biehn had said that he had been contacted about returning).

                  They can't be.
It took many hours for the facehugger to plant the embryo in the body of Kane and then hours after that for Kane to recover and then it finally came out of his chest.
In Covenant, it takes a few minutes.
